In honor of Black History Month, actress Daisy Century (from the American Historical Theatre) will present the one-woman play "Sojourner Truth: Ain't I a Woman" on Sunday, February 3 at 2:00 pm in the Community Room. The play focuses on the remarkable story of Sojourner Truth, a Civil War slave who overcame incredible obstacles and mixed with such leading figures of her day as Susan B. Anthony, Abraham Lincoln and Ulysses S. Grant. She also preached, spoke about women's suffrage, worked as a Union nurse, and helped recruit black troops for the Union Army during the Civil War. This program, sponsored by the Friends of the Library, is free and open to the public, but advance registration is required. To sign-up, call the Library at 973-226-5441 or sign-up online at  http://sojournertruthplaywcpl.eventbrite.com
