Apply for a Library Card

Your library card is your key to the numerous services and collections of the West Caldwell Public Library. West Caldwell residents, tax payers, and local business employees are eligiable for a free library card. Non-residents my purchase an annual membership. Replace a Library Card

Please visit the circulation desk in person to request a replacement library card. Proper identification and proof of residency is required. Click here for more information about replacing library cards.

Pay Fines

Items over due? If borrowed items are not returned by the due date or are damaged or lost while charged to your account, an overdue or replacement fee will be accessed. Overdue fees are $0.25 per day for books, magazines, DVDs, CDs, and audiobooks; and $3.00 per day for rental DVDs. Replacement fines for lost or damaged items depend on the type of item being replaced. Patrons with $10.00 or more in late fees or fines due will not be able to borrow materials until the fees or fines are paid. Fines may be paid in person at the Circulation Desk. The Library accepts cash or checks. We do not accept credit or debit cards at this time.

Request Materials from the Online BCCLS Catalog

West Caldwell residents and courtesy card holders may borrow books through the BCCLS system.For help placing a request online, click here to view the video tutorial on how to request items from the BCCLS catalog.

Renew Items

All materials not on hold for someone else can be renewed once with the exception of rental DVDs. Additional renewals may be possible if the item is brought into the Library. Patrons can renew online by logging into their account online. Online account access requires a pin number. Click here to access your account.

Register for a Program or Event

All library programs are open to the public. You can check the Library's Events Calender to stay up-to-date on programs being offered at the West Caldwell Public Library. We request advance registration for all programs. To register, please contact the Library at 973-226-5441.

Donate books and other items to the the Library

A gift to the West Caldwell Public Library supports the services the library provides for its patrons and visitors.  With your gift, you join a group of people who strongly and passionately believe in the importance of the library.
